Read My Crap - The Wedding

The Wedding - by P.N. Neville

In my dreams last night I was getting married. Now, usually that is a stressful nightmare for me, as it's usually some kind of creepy arranged marriage to someone I don't even know or care about. I don't know why that is, but almost every time I have a dream about my wedding, it's an arranged marriage and very package produced. Like I bought the middle package on a "Buy your own wedding" web page or something. It's always very impersonal, nothing about it seems like me or anything I would do or want. It's someone else's visions, someone else's wishes.

And it sucks.

Not this time. This time I actually knew the woman I was marrying, I did but didn't at the same time, and I knew her so well and I loved her more than I've ever felt. I felt it so strong, I felt the connection, a long searched for peace, a feeling of a piece finally fitting the puzzle, the long lost key for my lock.

This place was decked out, the colors were amazing. It mostly took place on an outdoor patio with multiple wood deck levels. It was built inside of a tunnel of green trees and lush forest cover. Under the decks ran a stream of crystal clear water that made a sound while babbling by, almost a music, in fact it was a form of music, probably not reproducible in this physical world. The tables were colors of ruby red, dark orange, pinkish, dark red, and deep blues, all covered in shades of different clothes in the same colors and in the middle of each table sat a statue of a kitty cat, but made of raspberries, blackberries, or blueberries on a creme cheese base. The eyes were made of some kind of candy that made the eyes glow. Some of them were animated with little motors that made them lick their paws or scratch their face with their paws. It was so immensely satisfying, enough to leave quite the imprint on my waking mind.

The whole event was special and spoke of two minds in connection, two creative forces combined to create something amazing. When we came together the air seemed to fill with a static like electricity. Together, we glowed and radiated a light that bathed the room and all in attendance. It felt right, not forced, not "good enough", not someone else's visions, but OUR visions wound into one stream of consciousness, powerful enough to burst its way into this world.

The waters that have been stagnant in my fountains of creativity as of late no longer sitting under grey skies, they are once again lit by an inner sun. The storms have passed, the water has cleared, the mung has vanished, the graffiti stains removed, the rust gone. The clear water is beginning to flow once again down the white stone ledges and into the pool. The flow is still light, just drops here and there really. But it's a beginning, the start of a new flow soon to come and the waters will once again fill the channels and canals of my people. There is hope.

Then came the feast, the great feast of my people, all gathered in a great hall adorned in massive colorful tapestries made by my great ancient artisans from past lives. The room is massive, like an airplane hanger, you could store the goodyear blimp in here. The tapestry are giant and go from floor to ceiling, each one adorned with moments from this life and many others. Some important moments, some random unknown scenes, some sad and horrifying, and some just downright embarrassing. But it was all important, all part of a bigger picture.

It was a great celebration. There was food that looked as if it was generated by a computer from the 1980's, strange and vector like. Made of color light and lines. But when you picked them up, they had form and they would eat and taste exactly like what they represented in form. In fact, there was a bowl at the end of the table that held a bunch of digital looking lines. You could pick them up and put them together like tinker toys to create anything you wanted. Yes, it appeared as primitive computer graphics visually, but the taste and feel was unmistakable and powerfully real.

The drink was made of energy, a fizzy light and bottles filled with what looked like old CRT TV static. It filled you with whatever you wanted, but most importantly, it filled you with love. Love for, I don't know, everything. It was like good times in a glass and it had a flavor that I can't even possibly describe. It wasn't a normal sense in our physical flavor pallet. Sweet, Sour, Bland, etc. Then there was this taste. It was something else and highly enjoyable, like the best of all at once. It's so hard to put into words, but it really was like "Taste the Rainbow." That's about as close as I can get.

Then little volcanoes began coming up from under the ground, glowing red and orange. But the heat they created wasn't hot or burning. It was hilarious, it made you laugh with joy. The volcanoes all erupted at once, sending huge sprays of a red juice all over the crowds of people. It was the juice of joy! It kind of looked like blood, but whatever.

it was awesome. We all danced and rolled around in the puddles like dorky kids who've had too much sugar. Who cares, nothing mattered. It was all in good fun. And that was the vibe. It's all in good fun, enjoy everything as much as you can whenever you can.

Love and be Loved. Feel and be Felt. Know and be Known. Create and be Created. You are separate, but eternally one.

Whatever all of it is, whether it means anything at all, it was a hell of a good time and I'm grateful for that.
